The Next American Idol!

Our little singer is back! When I want Neeley to sing one of her songs for someone, she refuses, but today she put on quite the concert. As you can see, she got all crazy and pulled her piggies out before she could sing her songs. Then she sang quite a medley of her favorites. I think we have a future star on our hands! Look out American Idol!! {It's kind of a fuzzy video - I took it with my regular camera.}

Brian's Archery Buck

I'm sure you all know that the world revolves around the 'hunts' at the Robertson house. Brian has been stressed out about when I'm going to have the baby because we need to work it out around the deer hunt (duh!). I've been stressed out because I'm worried he will want to be out hunting while I'm having the baby (go figure?). He wanted the doc to give us a date for the C-section two months ago so that we can plan accordingly. You know, there are three general deer seasons and a million elk seasons. If he had his way, he would hunt every one of them.

Anyway, it looks like he will be there when our new little one arrives. Hallelujah!!! He shot this big buck this morning. You can't really see, but it's a 4 x 6. It has two little cheaters on it's right side. Way to go, Brian! I'm happy for you, Neeley's happy, and I'm sure your unborn daughter will be happy when you are actually there to witness her birth!

Beautiful Snow White

Last night after her bath, she came into the kitchen wearing her shoes and sunglasses (upside down) and said, "I'm ready!" Ready for what? I guess a girl's always gotta be on her toes!

Here's our silly girl watching TV while laying in her doll carrier.

REMEMBER WHEN...

Anyone who wants to play...This is Fun!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember--it can be funny, weird, awkward, random, etc.!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you

"Where are you?"

Who can resist this sweet, little munchkin voice? (BTW - she's looking for a crayon!?) Don't forget to turn the music off before you hit play.

Coupon Crazy Mama!

I got all wild and crazy clipping coupons and shopping this week's sale at Smith's today. I'm so proud of my "skills" that I just had to blog about it. Prepare to be impressed!
{yeah, I know, "wild and crazy" isn't the same thing that it was to me a few years ago. I guess I must be getting old. . . . }
Here's my grocery list run-down:
6 jumbo rolls of Brawny paper towel
7 asst. boxes of fruit snacks
2 boxes of cereal straws
1 big box of Rice Krispies
1 Welch's grape juice
1 big box of Carnation Instant Breakfast - I'm usually too cheap to buy this for Brian, but I had a $2.00 off coupon
2 boxes of granola bars
2 boxes of trash bags
1 gallon of milk
3 Clorox wipes
2 Lysol toilet cleaners
1 Clorox bleach
1 pkg. Blueberry muffin mix
3 pkg. Huggies baby wipes
3 to-go pkg. Huggies baby wipes
12 pack of Coke (free with coupon)
24 pack bottled water
carrots
nectarines
2 loaves of Granny Sycamore bread
1 pkg hamburger buns
2 pkg Keebler cookies
2 pkg cookie mix
1 pkg pasta
2 cans spaghettios
1 pkg of 4 rib eye steaks ($20.00)
WHEW!!!! I only spent $99.44. Can you believe it???? If you bought a combination of 10 certain items, you saved $5.00. I stocked up on a bunch of stuff, and saved $15.00. Then I clipped coupons and printed them online and saved $19.65. My fresh value card saved me another $55.35 (inc. the $15.00) for a total savings of $75.00. AND to top it off, I got my 15 cent fuel reward and my $10.00 "Baby Rewards) coupon. What a spectacular savings day at Smith's!
Click here, here, here, and here to print some coupons online. It's definitely worth your time! And if you go to http://www.smithsfoodanddrug.com/Pages/default.aspx, you can actually upload coupons to your Fresh Values card and then you don't have to have the "paper" coupons. When you swipe your FV card, it automatically applies the coupon. Cool, huh? You guys didn't know that I could be so frugal!?
I'm going to go through this next week's sale ads, and I will try to blog about the biggest deals and where to find the best coupons.
Happy Saving!
{Brian is going to laugh his head off if he sees this post!}

Camping Deja Vu

What did this dirty faced little girl do while camping this weekend?

DAY 1
Catch Butterflies with Daddy

Fall Asleep in the Ranger

DAY 2

Catch Butterflies with Daddy

Fall Asleep in the Ranger

Brian, Neeley and I went camping for a few days this past weekend. It was the perfect weather on the mountain - not too hot with a little bit of overcast. It was just us, so we were pretty lazy. Well, I should say I was a lazy bum. Brian spent most of his days entertaining Neeley Bug and looking for shed horns. And I spent most of my time sleeping. I didn't even cook a big meal or anything. I know I brag all the time about what a great Daddy and Husband Brian is, but he's the best! I am so spoiled!! Thank you, Brian!
Let's just say that I'm not the best pregnant camper. Brian let me run the generator all day long so that I could nap in the air conditioned trailer. I even finished an entire book in one day. I can't remember the last time I got to read for an hour uninterupted, let alone finish a book. He's threatened that I don't get to camp anymore until after I have this baby. He's probably right, but we'll just have to see.
