Dirty Girl, Dirty Girl

Brian has been working in the yard all day long, and Neeley has been his little sidekick. We tried to get her to take a nap this afternoon, but she just had to be right by his side. I really don't know how he got anything done. She followed him around saying, "Daddy, where lello shobel go" (yellow shovel), "Daddy, yady bug", "Dad, yook at me", "Daddy, be caofo" (be careful). After being outside for ten hours, she was mean and dirty and ready for bed.

I brought her in the house to give her a bath, and she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. That's when the real waterworks began. She had never seen herself that dirty, and she did not like it one bit. Her little feet were filthy so when I put her in the tub, all of the dirty and grass fell off into the water and that just made matters worse. Talk about Miss Priss. I scrubbed her down, got her dressed, and put her in her high chair for a nutritious dinner of spaghettios. Yum. She whined and fussed a little bit and then fell asleep as she ate. It was the sweetest thing ever!

What a precious little sweetheart...just love that she takes after granny annie, my favorite thing to do...work in the yard and flowers! She can help granny anytime and I have a really little shovel, just her size she can use.
She is getting so big and is so beautiful!
Miss you all and love you so much!
